Do they have the range needed for fleet service? We use to order parts for the farm and it would be there very quick, but I don't know if that would work on the range the Slate has. Even a pizza delivery, back and forth, 150 miles is used up quickly. I was thinking possibly for a florist or...
I'm still remembering all the grease joints, I think there were at least 12 places you had to grease every 3,000 miles, mostly on the front end. The good old days. 😆
I don't even remember if it was in the news or somewhere else. It was on TV, but I was not even looking for it, it just showed up. I was glued to the information though even though I was not looking for it. There was also the funny commercial for Taxidermy - Mortuary. That was 4/24/25. I...
I wonder about people that buy cars off Carvana and places like that, buying a car when you just see pictures and a description. Can you back out of the deal after you see it in person, or if you don't like the way it drives?
Which makes me wonder if eventually Slate will start selling stock? Lucid, and Tesla both have stock, but I wasn't watching them from the start. I bought Lucid stock but doubt I will be buying one of their cars anytime soon.
He spent most of the time in the article talking about vehicles we can’t even buy here, so why bother to compare? The new Scout is more comparable in the idea. It is larger, better equipped, and 3X the price though. They are spending more on their new factory buildings and won’t be available...
This site has more information and pictures. I'm trying to understand the de Dion. (I had not seen this site until today).

There are a number of pictures in the article that I haven't seen before. There are pictures of the rear suspension and motor, and pictures of the framework without body panels.
I think the top can be unbolted, but not as easily removed as a regular shell on a pickup. I think our pickup is only clamped on by 4 or 6 clamps. The fastback top would be removable.
It rains too often here to get the open version only. I had thought about getting only the top and no rear...
They are rolling out information probably as fast as they can. Last week the progress on the factory, which looks like it has a long way to go, but at least they show something is happening. I would like for them to show more structural pictures or drawings of the chassis, frame, batteries...
I think Lucid had talked about a changeable battery pack. Rather than waiting to charge, you would go to a Lucid Dealer, they would drop your old battery and put on a charged one. That never went beyond initial talks. Charging your current battery sounds much simpler.
