Video: Bring a bag, any bag

They could sell it like the old jeeps, in a big box, a lot of assembly required LOL high voltage everything all hooked up, and the buyer assembles the rest they could even leave out that one bolt that’s alway missing on an assemble yourself project

Video: Bring a bag, any bag

im sure that they have been thinking about that for a while, its been a high probability since before Slate announced probably a big reason for simplifying production (less parts to put together), multi position parts (armrests)

Aftermarket for Slate - will there be a lot of parts / accessories?

This has come up a lot, Aftermarket will make accessories do we really think a lot of companies will make aftermarket accessories for these? my thought is the first couple of years NO, if the first couple of years they only produce 150,000 per year there are only a few accessories that would...

Video: Bring a bag, any bag

Received my gift in mail from Slate Auto - concept sketch

I received a slate sticker when I ordered merch, came with it that being said the sticker sits in a pile on my counter, the rendering is going in a frame, when I get my slate my plan is to park in a similar orientation and take a picture (probably with an iPhone 19) and put that in a frame next...

Rich Rebuilds video review from Slate Truck design, engineering, production labs!

WOW, he did a fantastic job with this video, I loved looking in the background shots, seeing the cutaways, seeing the slate in the background driving in the factory, seeing him and the engineer sitting in the back seat he’s right, 1.5 years seems like forever to wait

WiFi Connectivity for vehicle control scheduling

though I kind of want WiFi connectivity it is really a NON issue for me, there have been comments from Slate about the possibility this being my first ev I don’t know if the batteries need to be heated in the winter or cooled in the summer and my though is it would be best to do this on the...

Your questions answered AND 360 photos! (saw white Slate & met team members in Warsaw)

I find it odd that they’ve produced over 70 units, designed the rear suspension, motor mounts, motor fit, ect but have not decided which motor they are using

WiFi Connectivity for vehicle control scheduling

well I guess the cool thing about WIFI is that YOU wouldn’t need to turn it on then program your home credentials to connect … but it also sounds like you might not have WIFI at home and are on this forum through a hardwired home computer and use an old flip phone key here is Optional, it...

WiFi Connectivity for vehicle control scheduling

yes, even my 2017 f 150 has a free app, I can start, stop, lock and unlock the doors, I can see my fuel level and oil life as well but that means it’s connected to the cloud all the time, something Slate said wouldn’t happen, but I could see it being an add on

WiFi Connectivity for vehicle control scheduling

I don’t want full connectivity but being able to schedule heating, cooling and charging would be neat my guess (just a guess) is it will be able to connect to WiFi and /or add a SIM card that you can add to a module for full remote access I’m not sure but I’m guessing the heat and air controls...

Have you made a $50 deposit poll

I have not, but I do understand that and you are probably correct, if my wife drives one daily it’ll probably go up maybe $50 a month, add 2 more part time drivers and now it’s $70 a month calculation is approx $2 a day x 25 driving days a month for my wife, which is cheaper than gas except I’m...

How does the truck bed work?

In the picture above it looks like you could have 2-2x4 and 2-2x6 from side to side to support maybe a small version of Decked would be a nice accessory

Slate driving footage in production plant (confirmed real by Slate Auto)

I've watched the video many times and it does not look real, the movements seem too smooth, the driver is just a barely visible blur, the dust off the tires seems generated, the whole video seems Computer Generated

Slate driving footage in production plant (confirmed real by Slate Auto)

seems too early for the factory to look that good, they said they had asbestos remediation, vast electrical improvements, and a lot of concrete work to get done I believe they just got the keys to the plant a couple of weeks ago, last i heard they were putting up a fence now i do understand...
