Some EVs have the standard port, some dont, not sure that youād get the dashboard look like you could with an internal combustion engine
that type of info could possibly be available on your phone app or tablet app
My f150 has navigation but I use my phone most of the time, my phone uses magnetic charging so I choose not to plug in for carplay
my work car has wireless CarPlay and use that all the time
my phone or iPad will be more than enough for my Slate
they have 70 working trucks (probably less after crash testing) as per their post theyāve built 70 to date
pretty sure all the truck used at the shows are working
I do agree with pricing, but itās also hard to show a price 1.5 years out
I havenāt heard any reports of not finding employees, right now they donāt have much of a need for many employees, their facility is undergoing or will be undergoing massive retrofitting and upgrades, a lot of which will be contracted out, the majority of hiring will be near the end of this year...
I wish Slate wouldnāt have put the list out of events for June and then remove all the dates, then remove the events
now they are down to one for Salt Lake City Utah for June, they are running out of days in June and definitely not enough time to drum up excitement and attendance
Itās not...
Define low cost, does anyone ever think Tesla would come out with a stripped down tech EV?
also do you think anyone else has a small 2 door on their radar? That what Iām interested in (maybe 4x4)
any other pickup might as well be a Maverick and Iām not interested in that
Ill have to do the math to see how long it will take to breakeven
my power company will credit the cost of the charger but installation has to be done so whats that cost to run 220v from my panel, across my basement into the garage? if that costs $1,000 how long would it take to pay for itself...
Dolly wouldnāt work since the back wheels would still be on the ground
it would be nice if there was a disconnect on the motor to disengage the rear axle to allow flat towing, guess I just have to wait and see
also it might be best to get a small car trailer like U-Haul has so we donāt cause...
How does one flat tow an electric vehicle? Does the motor just free spin or do they have an electric coupler?
and has there been more confirmation on flat towing the slate?
we just got back from a trip towing our RZR on a trailer 400 miles so we had something we could biz around town with
Itās hard to believe a fully loaded Silverado costs more than a base model
a topper added to an F150 costs $3k???
a ram with running boards gets an upcharge??
who wouldāve thought options cost extra
Our electric company will credit $500 for the install (covers the charger purchase but not the install)
we have off peak already and the kWh price is 1/2 normal rate
I agree, if someone can point out negatives that are truly negative instead of casting a wide net ānobody wants thisā āeveryone wants thatā Iām all in to watch
right now all I really want to see is closeups and information, I can decide if itās good, bad, or ugly
point taken, but I also feel that by watching the video and seeing all the misleading information that they say are facts kind of show that someone is fearful that Slate will succeed and disrupt the market
