Whelp, so much for the skinny tires on 16-inch wheels idea...
On my third attempt someone (Josie) finally fully understood my question about whether 16-inch wheels would fit.
Thank you so much for clarifying. 17'' wheels are the minimum size wheel, that's a great question!
TL;DR: OBD2 itself originated that way.
[...] Early OBD systems were primarily focused on engine management and tailpipe emissions, with the modern version dating back to 1988 when California mandated some type of onboard diagnostic capability in all vehicles sold in the state. This requirement...
The Lowering Kit could possibly be as simple as replacement shock spacers that are smaller (shorter) than the default shock spacers.
If they wanted to they could design the suspension to have adjustable ride height with no parts at all, just adjustable shock towers or spring perches or...
Fair enough. That's possibly what you meant, but that's not what you wrote.
So I posted about something that's inexpensive, easily portable, and isn't an installed carplay radio unit.
It was a FOMO-Be-Gone post because people reading this thread probably would like to know those devices are...
At the risk of quibbling, all ICE vehicles, not all vehicles.
"While ICE-powered vehicles follow the industry standard for data extraction through the OBD port, EVs are not obliged to follow any such standard. Although electric vehicles are not required to comply with OBD-II DLC connector...
TL;DR: Miles-per-unit can be deceptive. Units-per-mile is inherently more intuitive.
Units-per-mile is more informative for comparison than -per-unit because it measures the amount of energy or resource used per mile, which provides a direct measure of efficiency. This allows for easier...
Understood.
I was referring to the lower part, not the part with the glass.
A reason you'd want that removable-bed-front-partition part installed when the topper is installed would be for safety. The partition would keep cargo from coming forward, for example during emergency braking.
Fortunately there are still lots of 16in tires to choose from.

It's part of the kit for sure. The question is does it need to be?
Put another way, does the shell require the rollbar or can it be installed alone, similar to the Cargo Kit's shell?
I asked this specifically. Here's the agent's answer:
You can choose to outfit your Slate with nearly any wheel type. The All-Terrain tire of 215/85R16 (30.4" x 8.5") is applicable to the built. We utilize such a common bolt pattern many different styles can be used to outfit a Slate.
It's...
I recently bought an OBD2 reader for $20 on Amazon. At that price everyone should have one. Well, everyone with a car that has OBD2 anyway.
Doesn't seem very durable, but does the job.
My reasoning for not expecting OBD2 in the Slate is because I think 1) it would cost extra to include it and...
There's lots of good information in there. Thanks for posting it.
Planned Obsolescence has become pervasive.
Here's hoping Slate Auto bucks that trend.
If you believe that writing style is manly you're sorely mistaken. To the contrary, it comes off as a child-like style of writing that's disrespectful to the reader.
