Deep dive article: 70+ Slate prototypes built already -- "Inside the stealth production facility"

I expect to do both. I have my iphone with me most of the time, but my plan is to add a few IOS features that will be best viewed on my ipad. at that point I will dedicate my current ipad to my Slate and be justified upgrading to a new ipad. 😁

Will you have self control when choosing add-ons?

My only ā€œhave to haveā€ is the topper for my dogs. If too expensive or not available I will get Slate without. Have been vascillating over the larger battery, but only need for maybe 6 trips a year at most. Did a spreadsheet based on using wifes Ascent and looks like I might save $3k at best over...

Another cynical YouTube video dooming the Slate to failure. Worth a laugh.

As many do ā˜¹ļø I’d say I don’t understand it, but then I realize some people just don’t think.

    Wrapping for plastic fade protection

i would think Slate would have an idea. back when I did coatings R&D i had a turntable cabinet with UV lamps to simulate longterm UV degradation. There are also programs that test real time. Turntable speed, temperature, intensity would give me good quick tests.

Not me, competitor is like vs like. If not a truck, not a competitor.

Your reservation gets you a Slate test drive in 2026!

My wife test drove her Ascent, but at my insistence, because I consider it her car. Last time I test drove a new vehicle? Honestly don’t remember. I did sit in my Tundra, but not drive it. But I will test drive a used vehicle.

Article: Ram CEO: Slate Vehicles Won't Be So Cheap Once Buyers Get Done Optioning Them Up

Very true But I think there might be confusion as to competitor. One can’t dress a Slate as a Maverick and call it a competitor. now can Slate offer accessories and still be a Slate? Let’s hope and hope Slate corp knows the difference.

Article: Ram CEO: Slate Vehicles Won't Be So Cheap Once Buyers Get Done Optioning Them Up

So what? Correct me if wrong but I can’t recall any instance of Slate mentioning cost other than a blank Slate? My reservation is based on that and the build philosophy. I suspect that is rationale of most. Should the Slate I might envision be say $35k, I have to rethink, but right now my...

    Slate Surveys

Seem to recall that 100k statement being attributed to a Slate person, possibly in a video. I think we are being trolled.

Slate has it. Haven’t seen a way to access, not that I expect to referenced in this thread 100K+ Reservations for Slate Truck already! (as of May 12, 2025)

    Slate Surveys

maybe I’m wrong The info you refer to is a few hundred on this forum, not Slate, very limited and possibly limited value. less than .05% of the real database. I’m referring to the Real, Only official list of 100k+ Reservations which the way I read the FAG is strictly a place holder at this...

    Slate Surveys

True, tapping into the masses would be massive mistake. Survey only paid reservations. Limit survey to known items/choices that Slate has already put out there. People who won’t comply and have to play outside the box, just discard/ignore, maintain focus. If I’m painting something and ask you...

    Slate Surveys

Very true, have responded myself, but this is not an official site and does it have 100k members with a reservation? We are hoping someone at Slate is monitoring. In fact that was my primary purpose posting this thread.

    Slate Surveys

Mostly agree, but unless I missed something our reservations are strictly blank Slates, no input yet as far as batteries, Suv kits, wheels/tires or anything which might lead to so fine tuning.

    Slate Surveys

Suggested today that Slate tap into the 100k+ reservation population (us) and ask us to do simple surveys, less the 10 questions. One of those questions might be asking willingness to participate in more extension surveys covering marketing, tech, accessories, logistics, etc. maybe reward us for...

Just got this email from Slate: SIGNED. SEALED. DELIVERED?

Queried Slate today. Asked about how they might prioritize conversion of reservations to orders, date of reservation or delivery location? being in Hawaii, I know early delivery not an option, so I added Long Beach to my address, SIL lives LA area. Asked whether the Long Beach facility might be...

Slate will manufacture its seats in house at Warsaw factory

yes, that would be AMAZING. Most like require something 3 party to interface depending on the house side. Personally, I’m hoping and researching how I might directly cost effectively tap into my excess PV and bypass my inverter/batteries. Who knows what the year will bring. I know I will only...
