Slate Price Annoucement Date! "Mid-twenties in late June" -- says Slate

So when is the sale date? Jeep, Slate, Scout… Tesla is so confused they don’t know what to sell their only truck for. $120k, $99k, 79k, $69k, $59k, etc. Don’t know what truck to wait for, or just get the CT?

Slate isn't building the truck for us

Two door trucks are cool, but why buy one that has nothing in it for $39k-$50? It’s just a Barney Rubble mobile compared to four door options.

Slate isn't building the truck for us

It was a good idea, but now with the $7,500 Tax Credit gone, it isn’t anymore. Even as fleet truck. Canoo tried that and failed. Amazon tried a Cell phone and also failed. Little late to the EV anything game! Time will tell if EV new and old consumers will accept, we have only seen about...

Slate starting price isn't set yet says CEO (per Insideevs interview)

You can be first (Lightning) cancelled, and Last (Cybertruck) and supposed to sell up to 250k a year, back order of 2 million. And still not sell over 75k total in three years. FAIL !! Think Slate and Scout are testing the waters, maybe will never happen as many have tried to get started and...

    AWD! Please!

Great discussions, if four wheel drive is needed in the discussed area it’s probably very cold and Slate batteries 🪫 probably not the best choice. Get a AWD Subaru. LOL. The COLD is an electron destroyer! If you have to use chains it’s probably a one way trip or charge at your destination...

Questions answered: Slate financing, accessory pricing, customizing dash, first deliveries end of 2026

That in Startup EV terminology late 2026 really means 2027-2028, possibly late 2029 with the EV Tax credit gone!

Early deliveries to be region based, with early reservations prioritized

Take all as a grain of salt… This talk seems like similar 2019-2020 speculation and wishful thinking like CT Owners did before the supposed 2021 release of the CT. All that changed in 2021 and everyone was wrong in the end with the new 2024 releases. Tesla is still attempting to figure out...

THIS! is why I can't wait to swap my truck for a Slate: maintenance & service costs

Yep, good old ICE efficient engines.🤣 Owned a Honda CRV New, never left the dealership service without at least $200 each visit. Would drop it off and leave in my Tesla and pick up later. They would ask “How you like that EV?” “Love it, no oil changes and hidden charges!”

Report: Slate Factory Delivery Under Consideration! Would Take Place In This Room

Better option for $25k if wanting safety blind spot and infotainment included.

When will Slate Auto ship their 500th vehicle? (Market research tool)

Time will tell. Too long to wait and a lot can happen between now and 2028 Cybertruck flop. Atlas Truck EV bankruptcy. Nokia Bankruptcy. Canoo went from moving forward to bankruptcy. RAM EV cancelled. Ford Lightning cancelled.

    Blind Spot Warning

Drive a Tesla with the proper use of side mirrors is safest.

    Happy 6-month anniversary

Not too optimistic on this product, Amazon attempted to get into the cell phone business with their “Fire” phone and the public never accepted it. 4 reason Fire Phone failed. (maybe Slate?) 1. Too Expensive (No more EV Credit) 2. Small App Store (No integrated Touchscreen) 3. Late to Market...

When will I get my Slate?

We all were very bummed about the $69k Tri-Cybertruck jumping up to $120,000! Even worse, hope Slate not like Canoo or Sonders where they almost took our money and never released an actual product. Amazon has unlimited funding though so there is hope. lol!

Article: "Ford’s $30K Electric Pickup Could Crush Jeff Bezos-Backed Rival"

Fords Lightning was a hit (for a party napkin sketch design) first few years, as they sold to true believers and some first time truck owners. Then they got cheap and started taking features out of later year models, but still selling it at outrageous over priced $$ number So it faltered in...

Received my gift in mail from Slate Auto - concept sketch

Great to know, I was one of those who forgot to put in address during account creation. It’s in there now. LOL!

Tall driver (6'10") in Motortrend's Slate review

Just buy a full size. Over six foot and squeeze into a Toyota Tacoma daily. And that’s probably little bigger than the Slate? It's Ok once in the Tacoma but full size would definitely be better for anyone over 6’! lol 🤣

Slate's big bet - going against the grain

Again, not doom and gloom. But Amazon tried to go against the grain with their Amazon Fire Phone. But it didn’t sell like they planned, they had jump in initial sales. Unfortunately, bad reviews and closed eco system doomed the product.

About time, no more broken overseas electric truck, with no available parts.

My Slate Truck Reservation Pre-Order is in! Who else?

Yep, like Tesla holding my CT $100 for over five years… I should be getting paid interest!

My Slate Truck Reservation Pre-Order is in! Who else?

Will there be a “Slate” owners app like Cybertruck and Lightning? Or just web? Order placed, can’t wait to Barney Rubble around in front of a CT on the road! Outdoor SUV Config. 🤣
