I notice the interior doesn't show cutouts or mounting points to install your own stereo stuff. I'd really like the option to punch out and mount some full size speakers. I'm assuming since there aren't cutouts it might be a challenge to route speaker wires to the doors too?

The audio quality and SPL of most bluetooth units just aren't adequate for automotive audio. Plus they turn into missiles in a high speed accident

The power door locks have wiring jumping the door gap and supposedly the optional power window modules utilize the same wiring. I believe it's routed through a rubber sleeve boot. Speaker wire could probably use the same.

That's what I'm thinking. They make wire specifically designed for continuous bending that will hold up in a door, and even then doors don't stress the wiring TOO much, it would be easy to add a pair through the existing boot if they have to have it already there for power locks.

The bottom of the slate doors have a panel that is separate from the rest of the vehicle. That'd be where I'd put the speaker grille/mounting point behind the door. My first LTD had solid door cards but if you took them off Ford provisioned 6'' cutouts for speakers in the future.
