The Slate representatives I talked to today at the Olympia viewing stated that the service partner and delivery partner will be announced in the next few weeks. Yes, they are two different entities according to the reps. The reps talked like they actually knew who the partners are, but of course would not say specifically. I live in a small town south of Olympia and asked them how far I might have to travel for service. They said that the locations are probably somewhere we visit regularly no matter where we live.

I also overheard one rep tell someone that the Slate warranty would be 8 years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first. I hope I heard that correctly!

I am 6' 2" and was surprised at how much room I had in the cab. It's bigger than it looks like on your viewing device with more leg room than any foreign car I have been in.

I've been beating the "Walmart" drum since the very beginning. Not that I'm a fan of Walmart, but the puzzle pieces fit. What other auto service place do people "visit regularly"?

I've seen it commented that an 8 year 100k mile warranty on the battery is federally required. The Code of Federal Regulations defines a passing battery as holding 70% charge after 8 years. See sections E and H.2 here:
