Detroit July 6th cancelled

Glad I looked on the Slate website Events page! Was headed for Detroit tomorrow and no longer saw the Eastern Market listed for the 6th. Contacted chat at Slate and she confirmed it was cancelled due to "rain". More likely sauna like weather which was brutal today and will be tomorrow with rain possible. They must have been outdoors at Eastern Market which makes it understandable to cancel for now. I don't know if they showed up today (5th) or not.

Thanks for sharing!! Disappointing. Canceling public events so frequently will kill hype behind this thing. Personally I wouldn’t mind if there were no/very limited public events scheduled for another year, if we are still targeting Q4 2026 release. No need to build steam so early if you can’t sustain it

lol I bet it will and they are just starting out getting around so far they have hit the lost one by one right

Guessing outdoor events tend to be low cost. Inclement weather a major deterrent.

Wish I had seen this sooner. Drove out to Detroit to check out the truck only to find out they weren't there today. And there was no rain.

Maybe Slate needs to incorporate one of those Costco style tarp canopy for outdoor showings?
