I was reading about JJE and what they had done in the past. They built motors for Fisker, for one, possibly for Dodge. I also saw this on JJE's website from 2023 about a partnership with Stellantis Pro One. Stellantis has factories in Kokomo, IN, which is about 66 miles from Warsaw, IN. Stellantis also builds motors similar to the one shown in the Slate, made by JJE. Stellantis employs over 7,000 people in Indiana. I am wondering if most of the electrical parts will be made in Kokomo, IN. Has anyone heard anything about Stellantis working with Slate?

Another website from Stellantis about their plants in Kokomo, IN.

Very interesting! I'm sure it would be really beneficial to have the traction motor built locally.

Well, a good idea. We have been building BIG dc traction motors, in the USA, for over 100 years. That's what makes most railroads go long distance

But small ones under 50 kw, I just don't know. Please. Someone who does know, post a few links

For a minute, you had me daydreaming of Slate TV ads boasting highest towing capacity pickups.

YES, imagine 3000 lb truck, with 13000lb tow capacity. Actually maybe more than that. A 100klb traction unit can pull ( OR PUSH) a million lb of freight cars
But unfortunately rubber can't do it.
Not even with tracks

But I shall buy one.

In the two links I posted, it lists a lot of the cars that Stellantis makes the electric motors. Besides the Chrysler Pacifica, Ram and Dodge, it lists Arbarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroen, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Vauxhall, etc. They are not all large trucks. JJE made motors for Fisker cars. If you read the links I posted, it says that JJE and Stellantis are in a partnership. Stellantis does already make the size motors that Slate is going to use, and they have plants within 70 miles of the Slate factory.
