Using Thule Wing crossbars on my Mach E I can attest the noise and mileage loss are hardly noticeable. Until you put your boats -bikes -cargo boxes up top. But even then, worth it if you love outdoor sports. There are many tricks you can read about avoiding the dreaded garage door strip show when pulling in with toy’s atop.I wonder what what is the level of “wind noise” we can expect with the bare rack? Also, how easy is it to install & remove?
Keep in mind that many factory installed crossbars are not wide enough to allow multiple kayaks or a roof box and a bike together. Thats why I go with Thule bars with a little overhang on both sides of vehicle.
Sometimes, a forward crossbar will sing to you and be annoying but I’ve found that if you move it slightly fore/aft it can change the airflow and quiet it down.
