I like this video, concise and filled with useful information. One thing I have not seen in any assessment video is an attempt to answer the question "how big is the market for this vehicle?" I have to believe the company would not be going to market without a good handle on that answer. Have you seen anything that gives insight into Slateco's market assessment? I would also be curious to know if you have seen anything about their approach to product management and whether they have said anything about long term product pipeline. Thanks for the video!
i think Slate’s 140k unit/year possibly speaks to that.

140k / year. Not possible with the Warsaw plant, not even a tenth of that
So? Where is the next plant, and how can they get it online in less than a year?

Answer: they get bought, any bets on who is bidding?

I'm not an expert in Persuasive Speech, but if you want Slate Auto to succeed perhaps there are better video titles besides "The Slate Will Fail" for accomplishing that.

Attention. Grabber. Often works with folk who have limited attention span. Like you they didn't read the bit in parens?

It's a good article, read it, read some of the comments. We are not alone out here.

kinda like so many click bait articles today, gets your attraction, but no meat beyond. I enjoyed this video, but doubt the title makes for long term viewers. Much prefer a positive approach. “Why it WON’T fail”

Unless you're a Mind Reader, don't presume what I notice or don't notice.

In this case you miss the mark by a mile.

What I'm saying is that potentially millions of people will see "The Slate Will Fail" and that will imprint on their brains. It hurts the cause.

I think you have a very valid point and I appreciate the feedback. The intent was for my first video to respond to some of the naysayers who seem to not understand how users feel about this truck or what it brings to the table. Of course I’d be naive to not admit that unfortunately this is the type of thumbnail and title point/counter point that the algos thrive on. I, as much as the next person strive to have my content viewable by its target audience. In this case, the target audience was those who had already succumb to the “it’s going to fail” hype alongside the already won over supporters. But I agree that there’s potential to turn off steadfast supporters and hopefully I win them over with future content they benefit from and see value in. Until then I’ll just keep trying my best and learning from input given by people like you. Thanks for commenting.

I appreciate the reply.

Steadfast supporters are, well, steadfast. Likewise, haters gonna hate.

I'm just pointing out that the clickbait title, unintentionally I'm sure, does a brain-implant thing that will cause some people -- in particular people who don't watch the video -- to think of the Slate as something that will fail.

What I'm talking about is a subconscious effect that persuades otherwise disinterested parties in the wrong direction.

Put another way -- and I'm not accusing you of doing anything intentionally malicious -- the clickbait title helps you but hurts the cause because it literally imprints the sentence "The Slate Will Fail" into peoples minds.

I'm no Edward Bernays, but I know enough to be pretty certain it works that way.

If you're a fan of the brand, nasayers don't need persuading. Instead, people who need to become aware that the Slate is a unique and compelling proposition are the ones who need persuading.
