Just caught that she's there in the livestream. Slate's really rubbing elbows with the big wigs. Lucid and Ford's EV team had a representative there as well. If I can keep watching I'll see if they do any random judge interviews.

Slate's Leadership Team consists of Automotive Veterans. They have these connections and understand the importance of these events. They are trying to be a more traditional automaker not an EV Tech Startup Car Company, this is clear in their choice of Detroit for their headquarters instead of California. Glad to see Lucid at this event as well though.

Yes and no. Chris Barman says they're starting a new industry, not joining the existing car industry.

Yes and no. Chris Barman says they're starting a new industry, not joining the existing car industry.
When I say trying to be a more traditional automaker I'm using Traditional in the sense of keeping the fire alive not preserving ashes. It may be a new car industry but they seem to be keeping some of the traditions of the old ones which isn't a bad thing. Will be interesting if Slate is very successful like I know they can be, we might see GM bring back Saturn to compete directly against it.
