The Slate is a Coupe Utility Vehicle (CUV)

Slate is RWD and while the Slate Board became its own thing it was initially designed to be more Body on Frame like then Unibody. That gives it more of a respect than as a Truck than the Maverick for example. Right now they are trying to make it the most affordable possible which has resulted in...

    This Is So Boring Now

When Slate eventually releases their 2nd Model (my prediction is an 20K Slate Coupe that re-uses a lot of the parts of the Slate Truck) I hope they keep it a secret and then release it at the end of the year (I’m a very strong optimist/dreamer lol).

    This Is So Boring Now

Or the Rivian owners Luckily Slate has raised much more money than Arcimoto ever did and on a much quicker timeline. Plus their leadership are all automotive executives vets. They know how to bring a product to market.

    This Is So Boring Now

Not to mention they are fundraising now, which they are at least in a good spot for with people knowing big fish are backing them, how quickly their social media is growing, and how many reservations they have. But it’s still an important period since they are quickly and actively hiring more...

    📊 Expected Out-The-Door price for a $25,000 Blank Slate

The advantage Slate has though is they have a lot more partners interested in working with them after the announcement than before. More options for suppliers means more of a chance to get a good deal with a quality supplier. The disadvantage is that regardless of all those other factors and the...

    📊 Expected Out-The-Door price for a $25,000 Blank Slate

It looks like destination charge is going to be a big factor. So far this spread would look a lot more attractive 1-2K cheaper for a standard range Blank Slate. Especially if Slate as they say wants to compete with used vehicles. If Slate can somehow get a standard range Blank Slate to cost at...

Video: Discussion about th factory, the company, and the Truck so far

Not a huge fan of this channel so far, from the clips I've seen they seem to be very negative about the US EV Industry and think Chinese EV's are the greatest thing since slice bread with no nuance. It often feels like the embodiment of the r/electricvehicles subreddit honestly. Overall the...

    📊 Expected Out-The-Door price for a $25,000 Blank Slate

First option doesn’t work though since it seems like Maine is the cheapest place to buy a $25K Blank Slate especially if you are a low income resident then the Slate will cost $18,875. So unless they have a $24.99 destination fee, under 19k isn’t possible for a 25K Blank Slate. At least from...

    📊 Expected Out-The-Door price for a $25,000 Blank Slate

It’s why I think once Slate gets up to full production and can actually fulfill higher demand a 24K base price makes more sense. If final price for a Blank Slate is going to be 3-4K more expensive than a final price of 27-28K before incentives is a much more attractive price point than 29K.

    📊 Expected Out-The-Door price for a $25,000 Blank Slate

In my State it will cost you around $24,003-$27,003 for a $25K Blank Slate Truck depending on income level for state incentives and assuming a $1500 destination fee. Edit: If for whatever reason State Incentives go away by the time the Slate Truck is on Market the Truck will cost around 28.5K...

Hey Slate! You're out of events!

Honestly it makes sense that they haven't gone to the South much yet outside of Nashville. Better to hit the more northern states and higher elevation areas before the fall/winter. Plus a lot of those states are ones that still have state tax credits which I'm sure are going to be a big focus...

Report: Slate Factory Delivery Under Consideration! Would Take Place In This Room

I feel like that 150 is going to depend a lot on what are we talking about for 150. Like no one is going to be upset if you can do 150 driving highway speeds with the ac on. yeah was just researching yeah was just researching that destination charge is actually mandated by government to be...

Slate Says Some People Will Still Get Its Truck For Under $20,000. Here's How (State Credits/Rebates)

https://insideevs.com/news/770963/slate-truck-state-tax-incentive/ “What [Slate] hasn’t really talked about is how many state credits are available...There are tons of people who already have reservations, who are still going to get a truck that's in the teens because of state credits and...

Report: Slate Factory Delivery Under Consideration! Would Take Place In This Room

If I’m flying all the way to Indiana and then driving all the way back to my home state I would hope that would eliminate most if not all of the delivery fee lol. Would be cool to have an option to schedule a tour of the factory if possible.

Article: "Slate Auto’s Sophomore Album Problem: What Comes Next?" -- what do you think?

The design looks like if KG Motors made their Mibot into a 4 door pickup truck. Honestly feel like a 4 door Slate will look more like a slightly bigger Slate Truck than a different design all together.

Article: "Slate Auto’s Sophomore Album Problem: What Comes Next?" -- what do you think?

And from the Monroe video we do know Slate is already thinking about what a Slate Truck Refresh looks like. So we likely see that in a few years before a new model.

Article: "Slate Auto’s Sophomore Album Problem: What Comes Next?" -- what do you think?

I think AWD is all but confirmed multiple commentators who have seen the truck said that there is space for front motors already on the prototype. But I think they want to focus on a RWD truck first plus there will be negatives with an AWD Slate like extra cost, shorter range, and likely less...
