The top speed may be limited by motor RPM.
When I got my golf cart I grabbed a GPS and tested its top speed going slightly downhill. Result: 27mph. The I turned around and checked it going slightly uphill on the same stretch. Same result! Wasn't expecting that.
If top speed is limited by motor...
Acceleration from a stop will be good, especially compared to ICE vehicles, because the electric motor makes its torque starting from essentially zero RPM.
As speed builds that advantage diminishes, and eventually vanishes, because things like the one-speed transmission and the boxy...
The thing about absolute statements like this is that you only need one exception to prove them false.

How about the person who discovers they spent thousands of dollars on extra capacity their purposes never required?
Meanwhile that person's Truck lugged around 302 pounds of...
It'd be nice if we could see the size and shape of the footwell to make sure a tire would fit down in there.
It might require a narrower tire than the other four.
Aphrodite's second-most asked question (after AWD) was about getting an SUV kit without the seats and rollbar. She said yes, and then said "the Cargo Kit is essentially the SUV Kit without seats".
There's appeal to having a factory-engineered top with no seats or rollbar.
For me it would be for hauling dogs and bicycles.
A bike won't fit in the back if the seat's in there.
Methinks the average for Slate Trucks will be lower because of what it is (commuter, second car, errand-runner, teenager / college student runabout, etc.).
Did we read the same article?
The title is clickbait to some extent. That's forgivable.
That said, a lot of people will read it and find out the title is a true statement.
The Extended-or-Not battery thread got me looking fairly deeply into this.
I agree with the article's title, even to the point of swinging my mind back toward choosing the Standard Battery option.
Importantly, my Truck will be a second vehicle and I can charge nightly at home. YMMV for other...
Oh, the irony!
I didn't see any winkies, so I gather you're serious.
Consider this: The "news" narratives are created by the wealthy and powerful (so far inarguable) who seek a Transfer of Wealth from you to them (also hard to argue against).
If you're watching the "news" to avoid becoming...
In my previous post I was thinking of going all the way across and creating storage space on either side of the tire.
The whole top would be flat from wall to wall of the bed.
