Uber will invest up to $1.25 billion in Rivian in exchange for R2 robotaxis, with $300 million committed initially.

So the next R2 you see on the road may not have anyone behind the wheel.

Unbelievable… over this past weekend a tornado passed over the Rivian R2 plant and blew the roof off the recently expanded general assembly building. I understand that delays in manufacturing are inevitable, but who would have expected this? 😲

Yet seemingly it didn’t delay production, customer R2s started rolling off the line this week. Curious what they have to say at earnings next week
