The Bronco would likely have been my choice had I not opted for a Rivian. I want an electric 4X4 that is not a luxury truck. I want something that isn't going to rack up a $30K repair bill for minor damage. For me, electric is a hard requirement. I'm not buying any more ICE vehicles.

Not having to deal with engine rpm, transmission etc. Much more precise control of the power application with an EV.

Could use bolt on front wheel electric motors and an electronic locker in the back. The 1st gen bronco had a V8 upgrade option with only 205hp

I'm pretty sure that's already in the making. It would be stupid not to do that. I'm also pretty sure Long Wheelbase version, 4 door capable, is already being planned. I also believe small van based on same concept would be a bestseller in fleet market, and would be surprised if Slate was not considering it next.

I think I heard that might be an option in the future. They need to make sure this one will be successful before they start designing a Slate 2.0
