My only issue with the taillights is the tiny reverse lights.
I'm hoping they're really really bright. I put LED reverse bulbs in my LTD and it made a world of difference.

Sort of off topic I suppose, but does the headlight look like a 5.75"/7" sealed beam headlight to anyone else? I wonder if they're using one of those drop in LED replacements for classic cars. I've seen some people do those for their old F100s. Would make replacements easy--and potentially even back to traditional halogen sealed lamps too!

I brought this same topic up a few months ago. I don't see why a sealed beam headlight would not be a first choice for Slate if costs and especially repair costs are a primary concern. Any custom headlight will cost thousands to replace if it is damaged in an accident. Modern plastic aero headlights lead to many cars being totaled by insurance once the cars get 10 years old. I speak from direct experience.

That's a great point. The headlights on our ID.4 are astronomically expensive to replace. I'd really appreciate a return to off the shelf parts. I also appreciate the fact that they're glass (though no guarantee the Slate Truck's are)

I checked. Glass headlights are still DOT safety compliant. Enough with crappy plastic lenses that fade white after 8 years. In my case, I hit a deer when my car was 15 years old and 300,00+ miles. The head lights (I needed just 1) were over $1,000 retail. Added into the body repair, which was minor, it totaled the car. I bought it back and paid the difference out of pocket to get it repaired. Had the light been $20...

I would be careful about power draw, the wiring will be sized for the LEDs but nothing a relay kit can't fix.

Adding to this that Holley and a few other companies now make LED sealed beams that look identical to the original style and (from what I've seen with a friend who put them in his Land Cruiser) out perform the sealed beams by a mile. With proper redesigned reflectors that don't throw light everywhere. Planning on putting a set in my LTD when the $14 glass Sylvania ones blow out. They're not cheap in comparison but still far cheaper than designing their own.
