I'm interested in mounting a CB radio in the slate when I get my hands on it. With the knowledge that the cubbies may be able to fit a single or double DIN setup, and that there's plenty of other interior space, does anyone have any thoughts about how this might be done or where it might go based on what we've seen so far? After seeing the recent posts showing the wooden bed rails screwed into the sides of the bed, I'd wager those are the "Slate Access Points" and may be a good place to rear mount an antenna and then find a way to route the antenna cable into the cabin.

There has been some discussion of it in various threads, ideally you could do a rear quarter mount like they do on some offroaders. The cubbies themselves should easily be deep enough for a single din sized unit.

You haven't even asked the most important question: where to mount the whip antenna?

Well they didn't ask, but their last sentance they mentioned where they would put it.

There's always twin antennas on mirrors....

Plastic bodies don’t work as ground plains so the antenna will be interesting
