Is there official word on where Slate stands on "Right to Repair"?

I've of course made some assumptions based on their model, but don't see any official word.

Telo doesn't have official messaging online that I've seen, but I have seen them mention it in interviews.
Granted they've done far more media at this point.

One of the interviews I saw at the launch stated slate university support for anything other than high voltage work.

I am hopeful but waiting for the fine print. Restricted repair rights or difficulty of repair has kept me out of the new car market for a long time now. Both my vehicles are over 20 years old, and I need something newer in better shape.

I’m excited and cautiously optimistic.

I’m with you. I would be replacing my 18 year old Smart Fortwo. Hopeful that this Slate will come together as good as it seems to be. This would be a perfect around town and to the beach vehicle. It will join our Lexus RX350 (road-trip car) and old Dodge 1500 pickup used to pull our boats.

Slate already stated it will open source this truck so right to repair is pretty much there.

Bigger question is what is there to repair? Any battery maintenance is off limits unless you like high voltage therapy. And it's highly unlikely you'll be pulling the motor to rebuild it like your old Chevy

Brakes, suspension, steering, tires. Maybe CVs and wheel bearings. That’s it.
