Maybe so. I was just thinking of the plug in adapter my daughter got to change the wired carplay function in her Chevy bolt to wireless. It's just a USB to BT dongle. No idea what software is going on to make that work but I was sort of wondering out loud if the same or similar dongle might be able to turn the Slate wired connection to wireless.

It's not actually "just a USB to Bluetooth dongle" what it is is a mini cell phone that emulates the behavior of a wireless head unit to the phone and a USB connected phone to the head unit.

It wouldn't work for connecting the Slate app to the truck.
