Anyone interested in the Ford announcement... This Thursday at 3 PM EST, Autoline After Hours on YouTube will be discussing it. Great program, with industry insiders. They're Slate fans too, so I'm sure Slate will be a co-topic of discussion.

Also, if anyone is interested in the Telo truck, Sandy Munro just did a short video on Munro Live. He loves it. The founder said the 250 mile range, 2wd version will start around $41,500 late 2026. Aspirational, of course, just like the Slate and the Ford BEV truck.

I'm kind of nonplussed that 10 people at Telo have two rolling prototypes on the road in just three years. It shows you how much easier it is to delver a BEV than an ICE these days.

Thanks for heads-up. Hopefully it will bring some greater details about the upcoming wonders around smaller/bigger/better/cheaper Ford.

There won't be any new ICE startups anymore, at least none that will be successful. Since no investor will give money to an ICE startup since they don't see any scalability in it. Take Slate for example an ICE Slate Truck would have sold well in the US. But when European and major Asian Markets are on track to banning the sale of New ICE Vehicles by 2035 it makes no sense to back an ICE Vehicle when there's no pathway for international expansion in the long run.

This is definitely exciting news to hear there will be more competition in the budget end EV truck segment. Let's see how Ford executes their vision of GM's Ultium platform.

Ford President and CEO Jim Farley, other Ford executives, and special guests are in Kentucky today to share more about the company's plans to design and assemble breakthrough electric vehicles in America.

"The best part is that these vehicles will be affordable."
So there was no truck to show? How embarrassing.

The one article I read said there was a glimpse of the front, not much more than enough to see that it had no grill, smooth front, but yeah, they could have shown like 1/2 the truck and got a lot more talk than showing less than 10% of it.

Unless they really don’t have much of anything to show for 18 months of skunk-works-ing?
