I got the handle Docster when I bought my ’98 Boxster (I’m an MD). Managed to snag the license plate for that in Arizona. When I traded the Boxster for an ‘08 911, the name made less sense but by then everyone recognized my car by the tags. Over the years, my staff gave me mugs and t-shirts with Docster printed on them.

BTW, my avitar is Harpo Marx doing the “Gookie” face. If you don’t know who the Marx Brothers were, Google it.

My Username is based off a fictitious super fighter from my favorite video game series Ace Combat by Namco back when I was a teenager. It's been a handle that I have used since High School.

Never did become a real Fighter Pilot but I did become an Aviation Electrician that maintained F/A-18E/F Super Hornets.

One of my coolest memories was when I was stationed in Hawaii and would watch F-22A Raptors go straight into a sheer vertical supersonic climb as soon as they were wieght-off-wheels off the runway.

Right there with ya. I was introduced to computers in elementary school, but that was an Apple ][e. Been hooked ever since, did the dialup BBS in highschool. Took university to use my first SLiRP connection. Good times!
Oregon Trail was the coolest thing back when I was in elementary school.

'99 Boxster was "IMSDONE" If you know, you Know. An eternal 986/996 Porsche troublesome engine bearing question...Was surprised I got past the CA DMV yet not the first time. "5OHEAVY" was the '50 Chevy BelAir.

The Boxter/Cayman are probably my favorites. God I love how they sound and feel to drive hard.
Last time I tried to buy one, I had several inspected around the country that I found on Autotrader and CarGurus.
One cheap 06 Cayman S that I had inspected in GA. needed a 25k engine rebuild due to the IMS bearing grenade.
I think you are safe after version 3 in 09 or so, if I am not mistaken.
They always seem to be too expensive or too broken, when I get the bug to look again.
If only you could get the IMS free Mezger engine in the Cayman.

Only buy one with fastidious servicing and call the shop/s that did the work to verify. Did this and still got in deep "doing the right thing" cause I am that guy; as in the guy you want to buy a used car from. Porsches are great cars yet anything plastic, even high quality, ages and gets crispy even in the best of conditions. Quality Porsche parts and quality labor are in short supply. Join the PCA and become friends with a few shop owners, stay positive and have extra cash on hand at all times.

I'm am clinically cheap. It's gotta be a "bargain" for me to look at it. That sometimes bites me in the ass.

This pretty little thing was 6k back in 2016.
Also, I learned about "walkin around money" from my Grandpa at a very young age.

Makin money with cars is all about the purchase.

I meant to ask earlier.
Are you reincarnated, related, or just educated.

My username used to be an AuntJamima derivative-but I’m not an imaginary black stereotype selling pancake syrup… so I updated it to a Ralph Wiggum derivative.
This one definitely works better!
