What accessories should Slate include in their Review Slates they give to the media on launch?

My dream Slate review would be a competitive review. This would be mid to late 2027. Some car magazine assembles a Slate, a Maverick, a Santa Cruz, a Frontier, maybe the new Ford BEV, maybe a Telo if it ever ships. Compare them as small, light duty trucklets.

What will be really interesting is fast forwarding a year to Jan 2027. Assuming Slate ships Q4, will it be nominated for NACTOY, and how will it compete? That's an organization of auto journalists who know their stuff. That will be a great assessment. Or for that matter, will Slate make the Car & Driver Top Ten?

I think blank Slate and ask them to think and customize to their own preference. but their preference is do it your self to show it can be done.

If you asked most automotive journalists, they'd ask for an absolutely Blank Slate.

I agree with the last posting...

Journalists always complain that OEMs send them these loaded vehicles. Hey, the whole narrative of Slate is "just what you need". So Slate should stand behind those sanctimonious words and ship it for reviews that way. I wonder if Slate has the integrity to do that...

So ship it with a wrap kit and a few accessories NOT INSTALLED. Then let the reviewers do the upgrade. Now that would make for some interesting reviews.
