There are physical keyholes in the doors and the tailgate so there will be a physical key supplied for those, but whether it's in the fob like Hyundai/Kia or something else is yet to be determined.

So interesting thought, if I loose my key what’s the process for replacing it?

service center only?
Can I do it with an account ID through a tethered phone to reprogram?
Is it like my Harley where I enter a code into the dash and it will start and drive?

I know these are unanswered, probably unasked questions but thought provoking
I'd hate to LOSE my LOOSE key. That would be terrible.

Id imagine using vin and proof of purchase they’d(slate) mail you a new key.

Tesla no longer provides key fobs with new vehicles, although you can order them as options. Instead you get a set of key cards that you can slip in your wallet. Once authenticated your phone is the main key. I give the key card to the service guys as a valet key. And you can’t loose 😉 a fob if you don’t have one. And no batteries to replace!
