Noise requirement?

My Maverick Hybrid has the beep beep when backing up, and a whirring noise under 18-20 when going forward. I have no problem with it at lower speeds. When it annoys is when you're making a turn and slow down to under twenty. That's when the noise is at it's loudest and it sounds like a sudden differential whine or a bad gear in a manual transmission. I've had friends ask me what's that noise?

The other thing that annoys is the backup beep is at the front of the truck.
