Slate could become “the Glock of trucks”

I do love that Glocks like a Slate are the easiest to upgrade for more features / benefits the regular owner can customize: lights, lasers, night sights, triggers, magazine capacities, interoperable caliber change frame, slide change, recoil control porting,, etc... (Disclaimer: retired FFL...

How about $0 down 0% interest?

If it's anything like Amazon style, I can see short term 0% financing like their current Amazon business invoicing (pay by invoice). For long term, they will use other companies for financing or leasing banks as Amazon partners with: Chase Amazon Prime Visa and American Express Prime Business...

Tesla opens massive 168 V4 - solar powered, off grid Supercharger station in Lost Hills, CA

Yes, 168 seems excessive in that part of the state that's rural, very low population, and only has the major i5 freeway that people use. In comparison the huge Baker, CA off the I15 to Vegas that has 96 older V2/V3 Superchargers that we non Teslas can't access.... The biggest change is that...

https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-massive-solar-supercharger-california/ This is great news for those that travel between Northern California and Southern California! 84 stalls are open now. 168 stalls will open at the end of 2025. These Superchargers do not rely on the power grid and works off...

So many posts about, will you still buy without EV credit [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Well said and appreciate the rough numbers. Interest paid on car loans does not seem much since the standard deduction went up.

So many posts about, will you still buy without EV credit [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Not sure about the Slate for $27K when I could get an EV now till Sept 30 and capture the $7500 tax credit. As a government worker and falling under the income cap, I deserve the tax credit. Past 3 EVs, captured: $4000 PHEV state rebate $7500 Lightning EV credit $3750 Mach E EV credit $1200...

Reservation List - Delivery Order Priority?

Last year when I visited Kona and Oahu, the public charging seemed very sparse (compared to So Calif). Most were Tesla Superchargers in the Waikiki area. Are there plans to get more charging stations on the islands ? How is the NEVI funding going to affect the new Tritium stations ?

Did the "big bill" just end EV Tax Credits for Slates? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

No more EV tax credits effective today. US made EVs only until Sept 30, 2025....

One-Pedal Driving confirmed for Slate truck

Yah, drove my wife crazy when we test drove a Honda Prologue - set to 1PD and made her nauseous with the lurching in traffic. Sales person showed us how to turn it off and never to 2PD and it was a fantastic test drive. Hoping the Slate will have on/off 1PD.

Fused 12 VDC access in the dash would be nice.

Be very careful what you put on to the 12V bus. EVs are notorious for low 12V issues. My Ford EV has a stop sale / recall for the 12V going low and trapping people in the car ! I put in a small 12V 12Ah gel cell battery that is solar charged to power my UHF and VHF 2way radios.

So many posts about, will you still buy without EV credit [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Since you like Honda products, take a look at the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX - both are GM Ultium platforms but for a short 2 year lease until Slate starts up, I think I am going to go with them! Huge $20K price drops makes it very tempting.

    Honda Prologue EV $249/month + tax lease on a new 2025 Touring 2WD !

😅Of all the new cars I have had, my '23 Ford BEV has been the least problematic of all - OTOH the worst was a new Land Rover Discovery that was on the other end of the spectrum.... However, as the Ford Mach E just reached 30K miles, it is starting to show up with many annoying issues: Front...

Basic questions about one pedal driving (Full regen?)

Yes, if you drive exclusively 1PD then it's a matter of practicing. But I also drive white fleet vehicles (government exempt cars and trucks) and they are all 2PD. So to prevent muscle memory issues at my old age, I'd rather not get into an accident with my 2PD and 3PD work vehicles as I would...

    Honda Prologue EV $249/month + tax lease on a new 2025 Touring 2WD !

Yes I noticed the OnStar SOS button on the headliner. The infotainment system looks antiquated GM style too. Charging at Tesla Supercharger requires you to tell it you are a GM Blazer vehicle... It will do for 2 years when the Slate should be out.

    Honda Prologue EV $249/month + tax lease on a new 2025 Touring 2WD !

Not mention that not only is the $7500 tax credit applied at the time of sale; Honda Financial is kicking in $9000 of cap cost reductions!

    Honda Prologue EV $249/month + tax lease on a new 2025 Touring 2WD !

With the Slate, no; but my past 2 EVs have had the tax credits applied (after the sale) instead of POS.

    Honda Prologue EV $249/month + tax lease on a new 2025 Touring 2WD !

I am now seriously going to lease the Prologue for 24 months because who knows how long the Slate will take. My Ford BEV is starting to give me issues as I near the end of warranty....
