Are you actually going to BUY the Slate Truck without a Test Drive?

My only concern is fitting comfortably in the front and my teenager ā€œcan fit okā€ in the back suv seat for short around town trips. 6’3ā€ 200lbs for both.

Custom Slatelets (3D Print STL files attached)

A hand me over Sovol SV07. Single color. I am still learning but getting better. Easiest for me to use is STL file. I am using Ultimaker Cura for slicing. The modelsook fairly printable for me. Might have some bridging issues at the wheel wells. I will start small and work up. Only PLA so far...

Custom Slatelets (3D Print STL files attached)

What’s a guy gotta do to get his hands on one of these if he has a 3D printer. 🤪

Custom Slatelets (3D Print STL files attached)

I have been so waiting for the first 3D model to show up. Is it one piece or multiple?

Removable top over cab - or large sunroof/moonroof, t-roof like Pulsar NX

Looks possible with the roof structure frame being open. I doubt slate will come up with this one as demand will be rare. The third-party might come through for it though.

Why Doug DeMuro Thinks the Slate Truck Will Fail

Same. I was looking for a pre 2017 Audi to replace my 2003. The two doors two seats is not ideal and I was not looking at all the teched out EVs. Well hear I am. DIY SUV kit and willing to go for it for simplicity in design, repair, and maintenance.

SLATE UNIVERSITY will teach owners how to DIY

It looks way too early for any of that detail. Staying tuned in for updates.

    What was your first vehicle?

Slate’s icebreaker question is: What was your first vehicle? We might as well have a thread with that. Mine. 1984 Nissan 2 door pickup 2 wheel drive 5 speed manual. Pre hard body with the tie down hooks on the outside of the bed. The easiest truck I have ever owned to load things secure and...

    White Roof Wrap Only

Nice catch. I drove past one of those, white roof and all, daily as a teenager. It was sitting under a farmer’s pole barn. I wanted to buy it and fix it up so bad back then. They wouldn’t part with it. Ended up with a 1984 Nissan two-door pick up. The Slate is playing back a lot of nostalgia.

Slate merch, who has made a purchase, I can’t be the only one

I am saving and not spending money right now so I can afford the truck when it comes out. May rethink that strategy and buy a shirt.

Delivery to your home no matter where you live (confirms Slate Auto)

I too look forward to the day. The full manual is posted here, some other forum, or out in the wild Internet. It will happen. I I understand the lawyer liability dance that must be played. They can play their part and we will play ours. ā€œQualified individualā€. Some of us have worked or still...

Do we know if Slate is on this forum?

Look at the thread White Roof Wrap Option. A white roof wrap option was added to the slate maker after that thread was started. I believe Slates product will be successful as long as they stick to their core design and engineering principles that they referenced in their kickoff video.Good...

    White Roof Wrap Only

Did the whiteout kit get added to the slate maker recently? I don’t remember seeing it hence the request for a white roof option with this post.

Another EV truck company goes down - Bollinger

Not making a decision is making a decision by default. Bollinger could not decide which vehicle to produce, so therefore, by default, they made a decision to produce nothing and ran out of money.

Bigger may not be better when it comes to the battery.

Buy a new CRV. ICE to EV is apples to starfruit.

I am thinking about doing exactly this with my Slate.

Delivery to your home no matter where you live (confirms Slate Auto)

I love the idea of home delivery and hope to never set foot on a dealer or service lot. I’ve performed all of the service repairs on my vehicles, except tires. This is the first vehicle made since about 2014 that I would consider buying. Hoping their slate university meets the hype and covers...
