Did the whiteout kit get added to the slate maker recently? I don’t remember seeing it hence the request for a white roof option with this post.

I just noticed this the other day. I think Slate employees really are on this forum. Seems like every few days something changes(for the better) on there. I'm all for it!

I thought the forum belonged to Slate
but at the bottom of this page it says that:
"Slateforums.com is independently operated and has no official affiliation with Slate Auto". But that certainly would not prevent them from monitoring or participating.

In fact it would be very wise for any company to monitor an enthusiast forum.
It is free marketing research. Much better than paying a bunch of money to marketing research companies
for 12-person focus groups.

It is surprising that more companies do not have their own forums. The only ones that come to mind are the knife manufacturer, Spyderco and the pistol manufacturer Seecamp.

I saw a gen1 International Harvester Scout last night with a white top, now I want one.

Wrap only? Wraps are really wrong. I used to do color changes on rich people's cars, which is a terrible idea in general. Expensive, and not long-lasting, especially on plastic bits, and this vehicle is ALL plastic panels. GM's Saturn brand painted plastic door panels traditionally, but had lots of issues because plastic flexes and paint does not.

Nice catch. I drove past one of those, white roof and all, daily as a teenager. It was sitting under a farmer’s pole barn. I wanted to buy it and fix it up so bad back then. They wouldn’t part with it.

Ended up with a 1984 Nissan two-door pick up. The lady is playing back a lot of nostalgia.
