I'm not understanding one thing, (maybe more, which is normal for me). Isn't the circled panel the Double din one? It's off center but toward the driver, not away. And can't the phone mount just be slid to the right down the rail?
Not expecting much, especially from Slate itself. Just thinking I'd like to surprise the other pickups out there. Not expecting Raptor type numbers or a canyon carver.
Other than adding more motors or better motors, are there any aftermarket performance upgrades to add power to any ev's out there? I know Hyundai/Kia has the N series but that's from the factory. And Ford has a software upgrade to add more torque for $1000.00. But I'm thinking there's not much...
My Maverick Hybrid has the beep beep when backing up, and a whirring noise under 18-20 when going forward. I have no problem with it at lower speeds. When it annoys is when you're making a turn and slow down to under twenty. That's when the noise is at it's loudest and it sounds like a sudden...
Yes. These go counterclockwise on drivers door to lower and clockwise on passenger door. Opposite to my 63 bug, 67 falcon, 57 chevy, 67 delta 88, 81 mustang, 81 chevette, 74 Monte carlo, 84 Mazda SE-5, and 69 chevy C-10. I've probably forgot a couple.
I have no problem with the manual windows. I have a problem with the fact that they TURN THE WRONG WAY! AUGGGH!... (but I'll get over it).....(but I bet I sprain my wrist the first 5 times I use it.)
The volkswagon Beetle was selling around 400K a year in the us at it's height in the later 60's. A two door cramped vehicle with no bed and very little storage. I'm not saying the Slate will be a cultural icon like that but I think it has the best shot of any vehicle since.
The announcement video states, "Mid Twenties", and then says, "with current incentives under Twenty. It doesn't seem to me that they've actually changed their price at all. They've always been above board about the incentive imho.
I selected "must have" simply because from the second I read about it, and then saw the intro video, I knew I must have it. I've wanted a small electric truck forever.
My wife's Hyundai fob just needs to be in your pocket to open and start car, but also has a key built into the fob that pops out with the press of a small button. That way you don't have to worry about where to keep the key. Maybe Slate is considering something similar?
That's just the url that amazon created when I searched "carplay screen for car". I don't know why it was so long. When I do it now it isn't. I'll replace it.
The only affiliation I have is with the national club of lazy bastages.
