Good point, however I think people define personal value differently. What seems lacking in value to Doug, might offer plenty of value to someone else. That someone else is the target for the Slate.

There is more to the rubber ducks thing with Jeeps than just collecting them. The idea is that Jeep owners carry around a bag of them and when they see another Jeep they like, they leave a rubber duck on the driver side front tire. Its just another way of collecting "likes".

I engine brake my AT FJ as much as possible and did the same with every manual car I’ve ever owned…there has been quite a few. I kinda think of regen braking the same way…let the motor slow the vehicle instead of applying friction brakes.

I owned a 1989 5-speed, 2-door Montero and loved it. A lot like this Raider but two-tone gray and silver. Nice and boxy just like the Slate. Fantastic in snow and off road. I think the back seat got used once the entire time I owned it.

I noticed that too. I doubt it needs to go in the dash slot to turn the vehicle on, but I like the idea especially if you add the leather dongle thing to the fob. Adds a little color to the interior as well.
