The SUV/Cargo topper ships flat which means the top panel and sides are independent parts. I doubt there will be an alternative roof for the cab, but an alternative roof (top panel) for the topper could be interesting. Why not have an option that is partially fabric and folds back? While you’re at it, why not make it a tent that you can climb into from the bed…kind of like what Alu-Cab developed for the Toyota Troopy.

I just noticed in the 3D digital model used for Maker that the SUV topper has two separate lateral joints. One is where the topper meets the cab roof, the other is toward the rear at the end of the roof rack mounting rails. This has me wondering why that second joint is in the model. It doesn't appear to be needed structurally. Maybe its part of a plan to be able to replace that topper roof panel with something else...perhaps a frame that includes a folding 2CV-like (or Scout-like cabana) top. In which case the topper actually comes in six pieces: two sides, two upper rails (that include the roof rack rails), and two roof panels. Just spit-balling here...
