Slate isn’t just a truck. It’s a platform waiting for innovation.
I’m looking to connect with folks here who are curious about pushing the Slate platform further with smart hardware integrations.
Think things like:
These kinds of sensors already exist. Many are in use today in commercial fleets, weather networks, or camera-based mapping platforms. I have them. Just not yet mounted to my Slate.
I am already working on some early integration ideas and would like to connect with others who are familiar with Web3, decentralized sensor networks, or who want to explore what is possible when we combine smart hardware with Slate’s flexible design.
Most of this can be done without integrating with the vehicles wiring but it's likely that there will be an option to tie into the electrical system, similar to what Bronco does. These sensors connect to your phone or tablet.

Would be great to hear from anyone thinking about how Slate trucks can play a role in this new wave of connected hardware.

Think things like:
- Cameras mounted in the grill or around the truck that can help with safety, parking, or even contribute to shared road data
- Mobile weather stations and sensors mounted on the roof or bed or even hidden in the grill, headlight / fog lamp covers to measure temperature, air quality, humidity, etc... with the potential to share that data with a wider global network
- Other modular add-ons that let Slate owners contribute to useful data systems without giving up privacy or control
