Yes they did say " exclusive first chance to sit in a Slate " but I'm wondering if that is still coming at the end of the month, or if that was ruined by people who were treating the hand built with many 3d printed parts possibly working mockups like they were considering buying a vehicle off a used car lot.
You can see in the photos that knobs etc were 3d printed, with layer lines, some of the buttons and switches were just purely mockups made in one piece with the plate they were "mounted on" but people who got to sit in to get a feel for size slammed doors, yanked on stuff etc.
