Chargeway is one of the best apps to help you find the right charger on your route. It might seem optional for cars that have infotainments screens and built-in apps, we know that Slates will not have this tech as standard equipment. So the Chargeway app will be very valuable on your phone, once you enter your car model. The 2026 Slate is already in the app for your setup.

That’s one I have not heard of. I’ve been in an EV for more than two years and use the two most often mentioned Apps: ABRP and PlugShare.

It will most likely on delivery. It is being fitted with NACS connector so no adapter will be required.
Great news - access to Tesla Superchargers is the most convenient and fastest way to charge in public.

When I got my Ford Mach E 2 years ago, had to wait for an open charger out of 2-3 available (Electrify America, EV Go, Shell ReCharge, Volta, Chargepoint).

Tesla opened up Supercharger access over a year ago and haven't looked back!

This reads like an advertisement. Are you the developer of Chargeway?

Yes the Slate uses the NACS standard which is Teslas chargers.
The NACS is Tesla designed, but necessarily Tesla dependent. EA, Ionna and others are starting to deploy that connector as well. The ability to charge on a Tesla charger is also dependent on whether they allow the vehicle to communicate with the network. So it is still upto Tesla to say grace over the Slate relationship, but as we are going now it appears they are going to make their charging network available to all comers.

Elon has stated several times that anyone is welcome use the Tesla designed connector and charging stations as long as they played by his rules.
Long before it was considered the North American Charging Standard.
Other manufactures at the time just did not want to work with the new guy.
The only agreement they will really make now is what Slate Owners will be charged when connecting. Those that play nice usually receive a better rate.

I am glad that others are starting to install the NACS connector on their charging stations. I have owned CHAdeMO, J1772, CCS1 and NACS.
The NACS has always been the most seamless experience.
it would have been great if other manufactures had swallowed their hate for Tesla and decided to invest in the Tesla Charging infrastructure and connector. Just think how much farther along the EV industry would be.

Yes, this was my question.

When I got my first BEV, I had to hunt down operational EA/EVGo/Shell/CP chargers with CCS1; and hated it - most were broken, offline or had a line of cars waiting for their "free" session.

Just when I was regretting my BEV purchase, Tesla opened up access for my BEV and I use an adapter (A2Z) for Tesla Superchargers.

It's nice that the Slate will have native NACS port.

Ironically, I will have to get a J1772 to NACS adapter for my L2 house charger
