CONCERN ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR ON THE DASH
So many times I'm driving down the road and find the car has his turn signal on either left or right problem is he's not turning left or right he's going straight ahead that means that the size of the indicator is not large enough to attract his attention and the sound of the tooter is not loud enough for him to understand that he's giving out a wrong signal that can cause an accident.
Now the question is do we have any legal requirements? The national highway safety has a rule that defines how big they must be, no smaller than this size, can we make them bigger?
I find giving out the signal that you're about to turn when in fact you are not to be very upsetting.

(Feeling absolute shame). Iā€˜m 100% certain that every vehicle I’ve ever owned there has been time or two the turn signal did not shut off after a turn and missed my immediate attention. Please, PLEASE forgive me.

I had an old car that simply had a double-throw toggle switch for turn signals. Center was off, up was right, and down was left. No self cancelling so I had to remember to turn it back off. There was only a single light that flashed when ANY turn signal was flashing but didn't indicate which direction was flashing. Fortunately, a quick check of the toggle switch gave you an idea.

Can we get Slate to simplify back to that level?

Who needs switches? Eliminate them altogether.

Nobody uses them here in Asheville anyway. Might as well save a hundred bucks and remove everything.

I must be the odd man out. I treasure silence inside my vehicle, alone with my thoughts. The noise is so loud there's no way I could miss the turn signal going SNICK SNICK SNICK SNICK SNICK.
