Fear of fading is why I'm going to wrap the A pillars. Not sure why the partial roof kit doesn't include that area. Hopefully they'll sell me enough material to do it, otherwise have to buy a second kit.

Love 303 products. I’ve used this one for years on mostly the Interior plus plastic trim on the outside. First found out about it from a friend that had a small plane, evidently it’s popular among that group who are always searching for the best products. And yes, I grew up on Armor All and STP Son of a Gun like a lot of you but this is a much better product and dries to a matte, non greasy finish.

Everyone with a Jeep or Bronco experiences this regularly (roof, fender flares, etc.). There's plenty of surface coatings that will restore to Black (not gray/charcoal), but I have a feeling the there will be plenty of options available when these hit the streets. Simple Armor All will also solve this issue for some people.

Yeah it's odd that the A-pillars are excluded like that to me as well, and I plan the same to get the A-pillars wrapped. Going for the whole cab area in one of the silvers honestly to reject as much heat as possible and a roughly matching silver tint on the rear glass as well.

This looks promising, does anyone have any experience with this compared to the ceramic coatings on the market? There is a massive variety and I'm having a hard time figuring out what is best. I don't mind something thick and harder to apply if it takes less applications.

I have used 303 Aerospace Protectant for years. Worked at an airfield on college and we would use it to protect the dashboards of the planes parked outside. On exteriors it's more of a sun-block for cars, and doesn't last terribly long.

I use it these days to 'grease' up the wood paneling 3M Di-Noc on my Country Squire for shows. I used to use it on tires for a matte tire shine but it browns over time on them.

You're really making me miss my 1990 Crown Vic sedan. Have you used ceramic products from 303 also?

I haven't tried their ceramic stuff yet, but I'm doing some car work for a detailer friend of mine and in return he'll be going over the Squire. I'll ask him if he's used the 303 ceramic stuff as he does a lot of ceramic coating for customers.

303 is proven good stuff. Been using it for years too. Aero Cosmetics makes great aerospace grade products too (many of their products have Boeing certification for various applications). We use Aero Cosmetic Rubber Care for a matte tire finish. Does not brown @Luxrage . Have used it on Coker whitewalls on the "50 Cadillac with long term success as well as on all our DDs. Start with very clean sidewalls and thank me later. Also Nexzett detail products from Germany are next level. None of these products are insanely expensive either, especially when you follow the directions. Sprayway Glass cleaner in the 3 pack from WalMart or Home Depot to save some dough, works best on glass, smells good too.

Use quality microfibers, wash them separate with Malco or another microfiber-only detergent. And then run a clean cycle on the washer afterwards!

Another money-saving suggestion; Make your own bug juice / windshield washer fluid with quality concentrate (Sonax, Nexzett, GM Opti-Kleen, etc).

You want a guarantee / warranty from a trusted long-time community based detailer for Ceramic coat anything. Check with friends, neighbors and various car clubs for recommendations. We plan to await SLATE OEM guidance upon delivery. Caveat emptor!
