I think it refers to when they were coming up with the slate. The called it FN1 or F***ing Nuts 1.

Correct. I remember reading about this a while back.

Barman said that the company internally refers to their bare-bones truck as “FN,” which stands for “freaking nuts.”

I wonder why the covers are not interchangeable. It seems like if they are mirror images, they should be🤔.

I am happy they are using Torx screws though. I haven't used anything else for years (and have never had one get stripped).

I thought that too, but then he pointed out the rounded vs. 90-degree edges, and I think he meant that they are not interchangeable on the same side (i.e., orientation matters). I would strongly assume that they are symmetric mirrors for ease of production.

I've said it before, but I really like how the turn signals look without the covers on them. Give me a nice frame to bolt around them and I'll keep the massive squares!
