I see lots of rattling in my future as plastic threads wear out. =\

Simply redrill and add a new self-tapping screw with a larger diameter shank.

I wonder why the covers are not interchangeable. It seems like if they are mirror images, they should be🤔.

I am happy they are using Torx screws though. I haven't used anything else for years (and have never had one get stripped).

Not mirrored, rotated. That's an important difference. But yes, they should have "order 2" rotational symmetry. I think they just meant to point out the fact that you can't install them with the rounded corner's pointed inwards.
