5. Within 45 seconds:

1. Start at the first digit of the fob's printed code.
2. Press the door LOCK button the number of times corresponding to that digit of the fob's code.
3. Press the door UNLOCK button to accept the digit.
4. Continue from step 5.2 for the next digit until you've entered all eight.

6. Now, enter the code a second time (repeating from step 5.2).

Oh god. That is NOT a beginner process. I've spent agonizing hours on the phone with overwhelmingly over qualified engineers going through a similar process to program Renishaw industrial CNC touch probes, and let me tell you, not everyone you see on the road is going to be capable of completing that process. Not every RepairPal technician is going to be capable of that process. Eight digits? And they make you do it twice? And there's a 45-second timeout looming? I do not understand how instruction manuals with designs like that escape the user testing process, unless there is no user testing process or they don't actually want you to succceed.
