Have you come across photos of the under carriage or motor compartment?

Folks I am new to EV. Want to find out how to access the parts that may require servicing. More specifically, I need to rodent-proof the wires and close off some crevices. There was one YT video where the presenter climbed under a Slate truck that was on display, he described the radiator setup as Corvette style, but he wasn't allowed to take pictures.

I am fairly familiar with ICE units but have no clue about EVs. When I rented a Kia Nero for three weeks, the engine bay looks very close to ICE's.

If you have come across any information in this regard, please let me know. Thanks a bunch!!

The Kia Niro is front wheel drive, so the motor is in the front like a conventional front engine car. Slate is rear wheel drive, and puts the motor in the rear like a mid-engine car. Much like mid-engine cars, this opens the former 'engine bay' up to become a front trunk... Or 'frunk'.

The above video is the best information available.

By 'Corvette style' radiator setup they just mean that it's tipped forward at an angle rather than positioned vertically.

I wouldn't worry about details like visible wires in any photos or videos yet, these are prototypes, likely without a finalized wiring harness. They may have by now finalized the design, but you won't see it on these trucks that were hand built 6 months or more ago.

Thank you! What a relief! It's nice to see that everything is within easy reach. Will have to wrap thin wires with protective sleeves. Will also add a sheet of chicken wire to the frame in front of the radiator.

The mice at my weekend spot climb into the chassis and engine bay from the wheels/tires. I rely primarily on solar power lights and a few other items to keep them away. Since it's been raining a lot recently, the solar lights become dimmed well before midnight. I have to mix my own cayenne pepper spray.

Niro was a decent EV for shorter drives. It was just too stressful to have to wait for an available stall at ElectrifyAmerica stations. It certainly helped me decide that I need an EV with supercharger access.

Appreciate your recommendation! I tried maybe five or six types of scent-based deterrents in the beginning. In a windy, desert-like area, the scent becomes barely detectable quickly. I use WiFi cams in the front wheel wells (or on the ground) to monitor rodent activity.

I live in NH and the mice like my YJ's wiring as well. I use these to keep them away. (NOT an affiliate link)
