I was interested to see what ford is cooking up until I seen model year 2028 which means late Q3, Q4 2027

hoping my Slate will be a year old by then

also ford trying to say priced about $25k 2.5 years from now is laughable

heck, I’m hoping and praying the Slate will be able to stay $25k ish

but I’m interested to see if ford is listening to the rumbling or if they will try to package this up to be a $40k vehicle

I didn't see the $25k piece, where was that? Heck, they can't even sell the Maverick for $25k, I'd be really surprised if they can get the T3 that low.

One article I seen said $25k but others stated “low cost” also stated “bigger than maverick smaller than ranger”

I can not find mention of $25k again so very doubtful

Could be earlier.

For example, regular production of the 1984 Corvette (first year of the C4 generation) began on January 3, 1983.

My question is why make one in the middle of the 2 smaller sized trucks it doesn’t seem like a good marketing decision. And if it’s bigger then the mavrick but smaller then the ranger the price would be around for the base ranger non 4x4 33,350 before you build it out and the mavrick is 28,145 also before you build it out giving you a 5,205 price difference if we go by price equals size alone. So I don’t really see this selling well vs the others even if it’s all electric. The base lighting is 54,780 which is definitely a lot more but they should make an electric ranger if going for function. If going for the a to b then a full electric mavric would be a better option. Personally I just don’t see this as something that should be new when they already have a low cost platform that they could just modify to be all electric because it would be cheaper since a lot of the components would be the same. Thank you that’s my Ted talk XD

If whatever Ford makes gets any traction at all, the dealers are going to futz up the prices just like they did with the Mav.
And the salesmen will probably try to persuade buyers away from whatever T3 is and towards something they don't actually want. That's really common at the dealerships we visited when looking for an EV. Most tried to "upsell" us on ICE or PHEVs. It's harder to get cars in for service at a dealership if they typically don't require regular maintenance.

Imagine if Ford tried this again: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Ranger_EV

It's the only thing I can think of that would give Slate a run for it's money.
that would be great lol and make since now I know ford is saying it’s a model t moment what if they brought back the model t in a modern look but also the model t did come out in 1908 being a 120 years when this new truck ford is making will come out in 2028
