Kind of unrelated, but I was watching an interview with the head of the Ford BEV team last night. It was fun because at one point he was asked about Slate. He said he loved the whole Slate journey and couldn't wait to drive one.

It was also interesting to hear a program chief talking about all the tradeoffs made by the team while designing a vehicle. Every customer wants something different, and you can't please them all, so you end up with an endless series of compromises. I'm sure the Slate team gets it - probably every vehicle team goes through that.

I'm sharing the video not because I think anyone on the Slate forum is interested in the Ford, but because it's a great video on how you design a BEV period.

it is a bit like google, google kills apps that have less than 10 million users, while a startup would be thrilled with that.

Ford has to design to attract many more customers, while slate can be more niche.

We will see if slate can get enough customers.

Ill definitely buy the 2wd blank slate and when they come out with an awd, I might switch to that. I might end up with both since Ill have two teen drivers. Thought they would probably prefer something like the bolt EUV
