as I understand it the battery cells are USA, and the modules will be assembled in Indiana.
I'll have to go research the actual cells, and where those !@#$ minerals come from

Could we start a lithium mine in the middle of NYC? might improve the area quite a bit.
Haven't caught up with the thread yet but I'd like to add that Oklahoma of all places seems to have lithium. They're building a lithium refinery out there, https://stardust-power.com/. I don't think they're mining OK's lithium, but it's another step on the production line that's now US-based.

I approve. Reluctantly. Only because I realize that's how these things work.
The one thing I agree with is getting these EV-oriented channels covering Slate. Rich Rebuild's video on the Slate is sitting at around 581K views after 12 days, that's a lot of eyes on that truck.
