That was one of the questions I asked Slate. I asked about the dynamic roof load. I don't think they have the actual answer yet. I do hope they put it on the specs page eventually.

That one has a Roof Rack.

I would expect the rack's weight-holding capacity to be specified. Not sure about the roof itself, though.

I thought that dynamic roof load was one of the factors to consider when adding after market crossbars. They have their own load capacity, but you can never exceed what the roof can carry.

Anyway, from what I heard at one of the in person events, they don't have that information yet.

I do want factory installed rails, but depending on how wide the roof is, I will probably want aftermarket crossbars. Malone has a setup that looks good for carrying kayaks. Thule had a really nice system, but it looks to be way to heavy if you want to put more than one kayak on the roof.

Anyway, just daydreaming. The water's too cold for the time being, for me anyway:)
