You're probably good and careful. Those are useful attributes that lead to quality.

I'm more of the start-at-7am-and-keep-going-until-my-dogs-don't-recognize-my-scent-anymore project guy. It's a problem that doesn't always lend itself to great outcomes.

Things have changed and will continue to change from when they made that video. The tax incentive was still a possibility at that point. Slate knows they have to have this priced right or it won't sell. Mid-twenties is what they're advertizing now. $27.5 is pretty close to high-twenties, so I hope they'll get the price down to $25k or lower for the base truck.

“$27,499 or thereabouts…” 😂 real concrete information there. I remember the wording on the site being “under $20k” with the tax incentives. I also remember seeing/hearing $25k mentioned as many times (including that early video from the CEO). There have also been a couple of comments on social media from Slate’s social media saying that they are going to do their best to deliver as close to the $20k price they initially advertised as they can, even with the tax incentive gone.

$27.5 is at the very top end of what could be considered mid-20’s I’d say.

The truth is that none of us knows for sure yet, and I don’t know that Slate knows until they get production up and running. What we do all know is that if the price is too high, it’s not going to be the affordable truck that is at the center of their ethos as a company and it will not sell and they’ll likely fail.

True, but also they’ve also said “under $20k *with tax incentives…” it was plastered on their website and just about every video and article that was published about the product.

I'd appreciate if someone can find where she said $25K because I've only seen "mid twenty thousands" and the $27,499 figure that are supposed to be the same thing as one another.
