Will Slate be offering a plug and charge network solution?

Example, drive up to DCFC and plug in. Car talked to charger and via VIN and Mac address automatically charges your credit card for the session via Slate web site.

I really do not like being phone dependent on a trip. It is a nice option when it works.

Personally, other than the free sessions given at purchase, I am not a fan of Plug and Charge. I use the different apps so I get the discounted rate.

If you are going to spend a good deal of time traveling outside your local home charging system, you will definitely be rewarded with lower prices if you are willing to setup an account on major charging networks.

PnC is definitely convenient, but it does not currently offer the best rates.

By the beginning of 2027 all Automakers “should” offer Plug and Charge that automatically authenticates payments.

However… to make ISO15118 PnC work the vehicle needs to have some kind of Connectivity, to pass along a secure certificate to the EV that the EV Charger recognizes when you plug in.

Can they pass this along this certificate through a wi-fi connection?
Can they pass that along through a Bluetooth connection from the Slate app on your phone?
Will a Telematics modem be optional (ex. OnStar) to do this and Over-the-Air software updates?
