Hey everyone, thought I would start a thread to keep track of SF Bay Area events, especially if anyone hears about any Slate events in the area where we might be able to see the truck in person. I'm also curious to see how many potential Slate owners we have in the area, and who will be the first to take delivery!

I'm in the Walnut Creek/Concord/Pleasant Hill area and work in SF. My delivery window is Jan-Mar 2027.

I’m in North Bay, Sonoma County. Jan to March. I am hoping that they have a Preview event somewhere in Norcal. It looks like their little map makes a loop around San Francisco.

Nice, I lived in Sonoma as a kid for a year, it was awesome!

I wonder if it's a turf thing with Telo Truck :D They could have a great event just by parking it in front of the Ferry building on a Saturday, the city is back to being packed with tourists, it would get them so much exposure.

Live in the south bay during the week and work mainly in Cococo and Marin. Camp in central valley on weekends.

Q2 2027. Super excited about my first EV and pickup truck. 🤩

Incidentally, this isn't my first compact EV pickup. That picture << is of the '76 Ford Courier I rescued from being stranded under an apple tree and brought back to life as a 156V DC EV powered by 13 100AH AGM batteries. Had a huge 35 mile range!

I'm also in Sonoma County. I'd love to have a test drive opportunity in the North Bay somewhere, but I'm pretty much expecting I'll have to drive to SF or San Jose.

I'm Q2, but thinking I might wait a little longer for any problems to get worked out.

Hey All. Mountain View area with a Jan-Mar window. Likely selling (or trading in if they give a decent offer) my VW E-Golf at roughly the same time my wife is returning the lease on her VW ID.4 (order window is next month for the Rivian R2).

In preparation for the truck, I already ordered a vanity license plate on the eGolf, knowing it takes a few months to process, and then I can transfer it over to the Slate. Basic pickup with minimal mods to start. License Plate will be "SL8 TRUK".

hey, careful giving away your vanity plate plans in a thread full of people in your state!🫢

It is already ordered from the CA DMV. I updated the plate on my existing car with the plans to then transfer the plate over to the Slate when it comes in, as I will be selling the existing car anyway. It will be weird for a month or so when my eGolf will have a plate that reads "SL8 TRUK," but it's worth it to lock in the plate since CA vanity plates tied to the car model are almost always impossible to get due to sheer population.

Haha my bad, I didn’t fully read your earlier post! Congrats on securing it!
