What are the chances of a solid state battery being introduced in the Slate truck? I watched a video that Toyota will be introducing production vehicles about the same time Slates start hitting the road. They will charge in 15-20 minutes and have up too a 1000 mile range.

I think the chances are slim to none and slim is out of town. When we first start seeing solid state batteries they will likely be very expensive and so not likely to be installed in an EV with price target of mid-twenties. I think they have already said it will have lithium ion with NMC chemistry.

5-10 years from now, if enough Slates are on the road, someone will probably make an aftermarket battery. This is assuming that Slate doesn't change the battery design every couple of years, and they sell a bunch of them.

It’s wishful thinking. It would be an advantage for sure.
