I was always thinking in terms of a 2" lift, but I really like this! It's sharp!Something like this:

That was my original thought as well, but then I decided this isn’t going to be my vehicle I take out wandering. I have a Jeep for that. This will be my buzz around town vehicle/commuter, but I still wanted something unique. Maybe a bit of 80s mini truck vibe.I was always thinking in terms of a 2" lift, but I really like this! I think my 1986 Hardbody had nice(r) wheels than OEM, but I didn't have the money to lower it or anything like that. The A/T tires were always going to be decorative, in my case...this vehicle will NEVER actually be ON a beach, even though I pretend it will be a beach ride...so, we'll see. I'm sticking with OG plan until I see some pricing, I'd think.This.
My original idea was to install the Lift Kit and some tires that have some off-road grrr. Now I realize the Truck is more like a car than a truck. Off-road tires are essentially decorative.
My replacement idea is to lower the Truck and install lightweight wheels and sporty tires (in a slightly smaller diameter) to make the Truck more fun to drive around town.
Winter? Where in AZ are you from? One fun strategy would be to keep the steel wheels and put AT tires on those.
Run the sporty street wheels and tires during Summer and the steel wheels with AT tires during Winter.
Interesting theoretically. I do like the steel + A/T look. In GA, it wouldn't make as much sense (other than far North GA (TN and NC border mountain areas). More things to ponder with my mythical "company bonus" next year. One fun strategy would be to keep the steel wheels and put AT tires on those.
